I would like to revisit:
1. Through what chain of command do we take our Letter?
---consider: email every relevant person in the company, so that it is VERY much on everyone's radar, and is internally routed to the person who must answer, while everyone else is on alert (make it a companywide issue)
1.a. Media: is there anyone we can have ready in the local media to jump on this when it becomes an issue (goes public)
2. Are we going to do a preliminary "Test Petition" first, and if so, can we get on with it already, and do we tell Dave we're doing it, and do we send it to Susan, or higher? And I say do we tell Dave (because I know that sounds crazy) only because it involves first verifying that we cannot get the espresso machine actually fixed without going higher than him? |

Why is including the media necessary? How can anybody assume they would A) take us seriously and actually cover whatever you think you want them to cover, or B) that they would offer a positive spin on our story? Have you seen the way they present OWS?
Suggestion- forget the media, start feeling out how employees at stores in other markets feel. If you want to expand "the movement", directly
include as many of the people who are living the same problems as you can. The media aren't reliable, at any rate not nearly as much as other Peet's employees might be helpful.

2) What can be done to achieve a higher profit and awareness of the company.
